Brendon Gemmill of Ponca City, OK, made the long trip to RPM Speedway worthwhile Friday evening, June 4, by capturing the Teel's Trucks IMCA Modified feature.

The third generation driver started on the pole and never looked back enroute to his first win of the season at the 3/8-mile oval.  Serveral caution flags gave the field a chance, including runner-up Danny Morrison, but they could not get close enough to attempt a pass. 'Rapid' Ronnie Hill was third, follwed by 'The Terminator' Travis Sherfick, and Brendon's father Troy Gemmill, a feature winner earlier this season at RPM Speedway.  Heat race winner's were Clinton Hockersmith, Brendon Gemmill, and Hill.  'Gentleman' Jerry Phillips won the Oldham Sales cash dash.

'The Hammer' Josh Hudson of Kensington borrowed teammate Cory Struckhoff's car to win the Adronics Elrob IMCA Stock Car feature.  Hudson had problems with his car in his heat race, so he borrowed Struckhoff's machine to run the main event.  Hometown driver Craig Werth led the first 5 laps before Hudson worked his way from the back of the pack to the front.  The lone caution came out on lap 13 for a spinning car, but Hudson pulled away on the restart to claim the win.  Adam Balthazor, Werth, Terry Cunningham, and heat one winner Trevor Thornton rounded out the top five.  Struckhoff won the other heat race.

Osborne's Ryan Goheen led all 15 laps in the Prater Oil Field Service IMCA Northern Sport Mod main event.  Goheen started fourth but passed heat race winners Clayton Wilson and Blaine Walt, along with polesitter Kaid Calhoon, on the opening lap and held on through a couple of caution periods to make his way to the winner's circle.  Wilson, Josh Rice, Walt, and Calhoon finished second through fifth.

'The Taz Man' Tyler Hahn of Stockton had a clean sweep in the Lock & Load IMCA Hobby Stock division.  Hahn won the first heat, the Oldham Sales cash dash, then took advantage of his pole starting position to lead all 15 caution free laps for a trip to victory lane.  Aaron Honas won the battle for the runner-up spot, trailed by Luke Pfannenstiel, Josh Latka and Daniel Irwin.  G.W. 'Cheeseburger' Fuller was victorious in the other heat race.

The evening's race sponsor was Nex-Tech, Nex-Tech Wireless and Golden Belt Telephone/GBT Communications.

Racing action returns to RPM Speedway on Friday evening, June 11.  All five IMCA sanctioned divisions will be in competition.  Race time is 7:30pm.  Following the race program there will be a fireworks display by Taz Fireworks.
