Sprint cars make final apperance at Hays
RPM Speedway in Hays, KS, was host to the United Rebel Sprint Series 305 Sprint Cars for the final time this season Friday evening, August 20.
Colorado’s Kaden Taylor took the lead at the drop of the green of the 25-lap sprint car feature but slid high in turn one on lap 9, allowing point leader Ty Williams to take over the top spot. The lone caution waved on lap 14 when Jared Kern came to a stop on the track. However during the caution, race leader Williams also developed problems and came to a stop on the track. Williams was towed back to the pits, ending his night, and giving defending series champion C.J. Johnson of Quinter the lead, which he held to the checkered flag.
